    The EU’s energy system modelling sets the analytical basis for energy and climate policy making. But the model falls short of coping with the system transformation where energy efficiency, energy demand, intelligent management and societal changes are of increasing importance. Our new report provides an overview of the main critique and develops recommendations to overcome the main issues.
